Students interested in the Specialist High Skills Major Arts and Culture programme should contact Mr. Bronson.

Performing Arts
The Music Department at O'Neill contains a variety of opportunities including performing arts, theatre courses and repertoire courses in addition to core music classes. Participation in these courses helps students improve their ability to listen and observe and helps them become more confident and self-aware. Students learn to appreciate a variety of musical genres and the history of music as a whole. Arts programmes encourage creativity and expression, causing the participation in these courses to be a fulfilling endeavor. Some of the groups and courses in this Department require an audition prior to participation. There are many bands, choirs and groups offered through the school programme that include co-curricular ensembles, for which credits maybe granted in addition to a core music credit. Rehearsals for these groups are held after school and in the mornings and participation in a music group is a requirement for most classes. In addition, there are combos and small ensembles run by senior students that are available to enrich a student's experience.
