Frequently asked questions in the O'Neill Library
All resources except those in Reference, are loaned for 3 weeks.
Yes, students are charged 5 cents a day for overdue resources. All monies collected are used in the Library to purchase plants, posters, books, etc.
Bring the book to the Library and renew it. You will have it for another 3 week period.
The Library has a list of databases with their usernames and passwords for home use. Just stop by the circulation desk and ask for it.
The White Pine reading program is set up for recreational reading only. You are welcome to join the group if you read only one of the books, or all ten. There are no tests. The White Pine books are posted on O'Neill's external website and on display in the Library. If you wish to participate in the provincial vote in April, you have to have read at least 5 of the books.
Yes, printing in black and white costs 5 cents a page. All monies collected go to the office to pay for the toner cartridge. Printing in colour costs $1.00.
You must sit at the computer by the circulation desk and send your printing to the colour printer otherwise it will default to the regular printer.
If you have to purchase an overhead from the Library, it is 25 cents. In order to bake the ink on the transparency, you have to photocopy your typed sheet onto it. Photocopying costs 5 cents a page.
No, all knapsacks and large purses should be kept in your locker. Our school rules stipulate that all large bags are banned in classrooms and the library is a classroom.
All school rules apply in the Library as well as your regular classrooms. If you are on school computers, you are expected to be doing school work, even during lunch or a spare period. |
